Aim of the workshop: to find the best conditions for creativity and innovation.
In his article “Innovation with a smile, with Gaston Lagaffe”, engineer and philosopher Luc de la Brabandère draws on popular comic strip character Gaston Lagaffe as an example of business creativity. Thanks to his unique way of seeing the world and characteristic blunders, Brabandère argues that this comical anti-hero can inspire us to explore the difference between creativity and innovation.
We'd now like to give you the opportunity to reflect on this subject among colleagues, in a three-part workshop.

1 > The difference between creativity and innovation
(10 minutes)
Luc de Brabandère sees creativity as the “capacity to change our perception” and innovation as the “capacity to change reality”. The latter always is preceded by a creative vision.
- (2 minutes) Give participants 2 minutes to search for examples of a particularly “creative” idea and a particularly “innovative” product, in silence.
