“As soon as possible, I'd like to go and live abroad again”
“I'm 22 years old and study at the Skema Business School in Lille. I'm currently on a gap year, doing an internship in logistics, in Geneva.
I really would have loved to do an internship outside the European Union – in January 2020 I had already gone to Shanghai for my next semester, but had to come home prematurely due to Covid. I loved the few weeks I spent there. It was my first time abroad and made me realise just how little I knew about the world, how much I wanted to venture beyond what I know. As soon as possible, I'd like to go back there, and also discover other countries – something I wasn't particularly interested in before the pandemic. For me it's a matter of personal and professional interest: I think that the fact that someone has found a way to travel despite the opening and closing of borders could reflect a certain determination in the eyes of a recruiter.
