“I enjoy being part of two different worlds”
“I’ve been a literary translator for around 15 years. For a long time, I loved my profession: getting involved in a text, the pleasure in finding the right turn of phrase, the elegance of language, etc. I could immerse myself in different atmospheres and eras: I go from a crime novel about punks in London to a historical novel set during the Crusades. I appreciated the freedom of being independent: no set working hours, no boss, no constraints. But after Covid I felt the need for something else. I needed to explore a new world, and not just through the pages of a book. So, I turned to real estate. Why? Probably because my brothers are estate agents.
